More Flights To Orlando

More local news from in and around the Highgate Park area as Southwest Airlines released its spring schedule, revealing that it will add 62 roundtrip flights and eliminate 10 flights, for a gain of 104 one-way flights systemwide. The carrier explained that it is adding the flights through its flight optimization program. The schedule reflects increased travel patterns during the spring months.

In a note on its Web site, carrier lead planner Bill Owen stated that weekday flights to some airports in the spring noticeably will increase. He said that, "Chicago gets 21 more daily flights, Baltimore gets 18, Orlando and Tampa each get nine more flights."
