Rip Ride Rockit coaster details from Universal

Finally a few more extra details have been released today from Universal about the new roller coaster. The next new big thing at Orlando's theme parks will be the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit ride at Universal Studios. Although an opening date has not been made public, most people anticipate that the ride will be available later this summer. Here are just a couple of snippets that have been released. Ride fans eagerly await this ride from Orlando's Universal Studios.

Firstly he trains will be much shorter than most of the existing mega-coasters. Each train will hold just 12 Rockit riders. "It's like if you drive a limousine versus a Jeep, " the technical designer has said. "Rockit not only has the ability to make a shorter turn, its back wheel is like a skateboard -- so it can pivot, which other roller coasters cannot do.

Also the view from stadium seating has been carefully thought through. "You're staggered in height," he said. "The intent was that you could get a sense of looking before you are going all through the maneuvers."

Buckle up there is no overhead harness. "The entire seat assembly is ergonomically designed so you're completely sandwiched and locked into the seat."

A wonderful gated community in Orlando. A fine selection of luxury vacation villas in Orlando Florida.
