Have You Lost $40,000

An amazing story reporting in the Orlando Sentinel today. A box with over $40,000 in cash which was left at the Central Florida Toyota dealership Monday remains unclaimed at the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Employees at the car dealership on Orange Blossom Trail noticed the small box Monday but did not open it, assuming someone would come back to the dealership and claim it, general manager James Farrell was quoted as saying.

Then on Tuesday, two employees in the parts department noticed the box, which slightly smaller than a shoe-box, was still there. They then opened it and discovered to their amazement that the box was full of money. He continued "I was in disbelief that somebody would, one, carry around that much cash in a box and, two, that they would leave it on a public display counter". Farrell went on to say that the two employees who found the money want to remain anonymous because of the unusual circumstances surrounding the money.

The money now sits in the evidence room at the Orange County Sheriff's Office -- waiting to be claimed.

A wonderful gated community in Orlando. A fine selection of luxury vacation villas in Orlando Florida.
